01. What Cookies Are and the Prior Opt-In Consent Rule
A "cookie" is a small text file stored by your browser on your device (phone, tablet, computer) when visiting a website. Under Article 4(5) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004 (transposing the EU ePrivacy Directive) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), storing or accessing non-essential information on a user’s terminal equipment requires prior informed opt-in consent, with the sole exception of cookies strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user.
On the PASTFIVE CLUB platform, the "Accept All" and "Strictly Necessary Only" actions are presented with equal visual prominence (zero dark patterns). If you ignore the banner or select "Strictly Necessary Only", no optional cookies are ever placed.
02. Strictly Necessary Cookies (Required for Core Service Operation)
These cookies are essential for the secure and reliable operation of the website (remembering RO/EN language selection, saving your cookie consent decision, and performing anti-fraud security checks during Stripe checkout). They never track your browsing across other websites:
- pastfive_cookie_consent (Provider: PASTFIVE CLUB · Duration: 6 months): stores your granular cookie consent preferences (JSON payload with version and selected flags).
- pastfive_locale (Provider: PASTFIVE CLUB · Duration: 12 months): remembers your chosen interface language ("ro" or "en").
- __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid (Provider: Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. · Duration: 12 months / 30 minutes): loaded strictly during the ticket checkout flow for payment fraud prevention and PCI-DSS security compliance.
03. Optional Analytics and Marketing Cookies (Disabled by Default)
By default, PASTFIVE CLUB does not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any third-party behavioral advertising trackers.
Only if you explicitly click "Accept All" (or enable the Analytics category in the preferences panel) may the platform set the first-party pastfive_analytics cookie (duration: 90 days) for anonymous, aggregated statistics on event page visits.
04. How to Modify or Withdraw Your Cookie Consent at Any Time
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, just as easily as you gave it, by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" trigger permanently available in the footer of every page on the website or directly on this page.
The moment you switch to "Strictly Necessary Only", any previously set optional cookie is immediately deleted from your browser.
