Botanical Study in Gouache & Cotton Paper
An evening of expressive botanical painting in warm ochre, burnt umber, and deep burgundy on heavy deckle-edge cotton paper.

Mineral gouache and watercolor take on a velvety depth when laid across cold-press cotton paper. Rather than rigid botanical illustration, we explore fluid gesture, washes of colour, and tonal balance.
Guided by a Bucharest visual artist, we explore mixing earth pigments and layering translucent and opaque washes. Arranged down the center of the table are dried branches, poppy seed heads, and autumn stems to inspire three studies on 300gsm deckle-edge cotton paper.
A deeply restorative evening designed equally for those who have not held a brush in years and those who love visual arts.
